Andrea Jeremiah

Andrea Maria Jeremiah (born in India) is an Indian performer, singer-songwriter, and musician. She works primarily with Tamil and Malayalam movies. She first made an appearance as an actor in Tamil film Pachaikili Muthucharam and Malayalam debut with Annayum Rasoolum. Andrea Jeremiah has an Anglo-Indian background. She was born to a Madras High Court attorney. Also, she has a younger sister, currently employed as a research associate Leuven Belgium. Jeremiah was born in Chennai went to National Public School. He completed his studies at Women's Christian College. Andrea started studying classical piano when she was eight. She was an avid fan of geeks and wanted to be a psychiatrist. She was part of the Jackson Five style troupe Young Stars when she was 10. This group formed the foundation for her music and singing career. She also worked as an actress in her college. She was also one of the Student Senate President at Women's Christian College. Andrea began her theatre career through Girish Karnad's Nagamandala. The actress acted in the new leo coffee commercial together with actor Shiva in the year 2006. She also acted on the Podhigai Channel on a TV series. She has appeared in all parts of India. She appeared in a small role at the end of Kanda Mudhal 2005. Gautham Menon asked Andrea to play the lead role after she performed in the film Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu. This film was a film adaptation of James Siegel's novel Derailed with Andrea playing Kalyani a homemaker whose husband engages in an affair and is blackmailed. Andrea was approached by Simran shobana and Tabu. The film was released in early 2010. Her minor role was accepted as part of Venkat's Mankatha in 2011 which starred a number of actors. Annayum Rasoolum by Rajeev Ravi, the romantic comedy film that she premiered in Malayalam in, was released on the 11th of August, 2013.
