Lisa Edelstein (born Lisa Edelstein) is an American actor who is best known for playing House in Fox's Medical drama House. Following her upbringing by traditional Jews from Wayne, New York City was where she set her sights to study acting at Tisch. She soon became part of New York's club scene and was soon getting headlines. The press also took notice of her. Then, she combined her talent and fame with the ability to write and compose in the production of a play titled Positive Me. In the following months, she got a job at MTV as host of Awake on the Wild Side. After the show ended, she started appearing in the film and television industry, beginning with small roles. She gradually established her acting career.
